The #1 Secret to a Highly Profitable Online Business

Over the last few years, I’ve been working with hundreds of online entrepreneurs, teaching each of them the exact same systems and strategies that I used to build my online business, Master Music Licensing. 

Before We Dive In…

I’ve been a professional musician since the late 90’s and have had over 2500 placements of my songs in over 850 TV episodes, over 200 different TV series, and dozens of international film trailers and commercials.  I became a recognized authority in the “Sync Licensing” industry, and developed a 4 step process that allowed me to generate those placements.  Through the years, many artists, composers, music publishers and record labels asked me to consult with them, and show them my process. 

In 2018, I turned this into an online program where I teach independent musicians how to get their music into TV Shows and Films…

Now, when I started I had no idea what I was doing, but after my first launch, which far exceeded my expectations, I dove headfirst into the online marketing space, and began studying all the latest strategies.  I then took those strategies, tweaked them, and created a very systematic and streamlined approach to build a highly profitable business…  

We went from nothing to over 1 million dollars in revenue in under two years.  But the key aspect to this, is that I made sure I created an approach that fit my personality, and was in-line with how I lived my life…

What happened next was I began sharing this process with others who heard about the success I had achieved with this new online business. 

Now, some of those students have gone on to grow massively successful businesses themselves.  But others have not.  Yet, they each learned the exact same system and strategies… So why such a dramatic difference in their results?

After many meetings and consultations, I discovered the difference came down to 1 thing: falling in love with the process.

I will tell you right now that my process isn’t bulletproof.  But neither are the processes of anyone else! 

Here is the secret that those other online gurus and experts don’t tell you… In order to succeed, you must love what you’re doing. 

It’s been my experience that anyone can build a highly profitable online business.  But the ones who DO build that highly profitable business, are the ones who love the process!

•  They love creating content that serves their audience.
•  They love connecting with their audience.
•  They love teaching
•  They love learning
•  They love sharing

The students of mine who make 6 figures and more, love the process!

Meanwhile, the students of mine who continue to struggle, consistently complain about the process. 

They complain about their audience, “Oh I swear I have the dumbest followers.” 

They complain about having to create content, “I hate being on camera and recording myself.”  They make excuses for why they can’t write e-mails or create offer pages, “I’m just not a good writer, blah blah blah.”

These are all skills that you develop.  They’re not an identity that you take on.  You don’t have to be a ‘writer’ to connect with your audience through email, just like you don’t have to be a model or photographer to connect with your audience through social media posts.

The problem is they want the result, but hate the process that gets the result. 

It Must Resonate with You…

So, while you can study the strategies of all the experts (myself included), you must find the process that excites you.  You must find a mentor who you resonate with.

When I was first learning about content marketing, I soaked up everything I could from all the online experts.  But it wasn’t until I crafted a system that excited and inspired me, that my business took off like a rocket!   

How you run your business must first be in line with your personality, so you can communicate authentically with you audience, and authentically sell to you audience.  Both the communication and selling processes have to line up with who you are.  And you have to enjoy it!

So the secret to growing a highly profitable online business is, you must fall in love with the process.  There are many strategies and online business models that have the potential to create mind-blowing revenue for you, but you have to find the one that aligns with you.

When your audience feels the excitement and passion you have for connecting with them and sharing your knowledge and skillset with them, as well as the authentic desire you have to help them succeed, they will see you as a trusted advisor, and they will be excited to learn from you…
